This edited book of abstracts encompasses 64 contributions, presented in a three-day National Seminar on Forest-Dependent Rural Livelihoods held during February 24-26, 2023, at the North-Eastern Hill University, Shillong. The contributions cover both the socioecological aspect of rural livelihoods and the legal aspect of accessing forest resources, following the enactment of the Forest Rights Act in 2006 by the Government of India.
 
The book is recommended for reference to the libraries and for personal possession to all those interested in understanding the depletion of the resource base and the difficulties of the rural people in accessing the resources.
